Decoder compatability

Welcome to the forum and thanks for that, Andrew. I actually use the 4 amp Hornby Elite and found I just couldn't programme my particular decoder with it, unless I switched to Register Mode, which you can't do with eLink. I have loads of sound locos and generally experience no trouble programming them, but this one was a separate extra decoder for lights.

Interesting post Andrew. Just checked out the PowerPax and note it is a device made to go between the programming output and the programming track only to boost programming current available to 200mAmps. 

Note to HRMS: your comment on this topic would be most appreciated.

Have had a reply from HRMS on this saying:

 

Any NMRA compatible loco decoders should work with eLink/Elite and RailMaster so this will need investigating once more information is available and we have managed to get hold of the relevant loco decoders for testing.
