Graskie
When you say micro, Alan, do you mean macro? If so, you don't generally need to bother with them. If you know the number of your directional lights function, just put something like "dir.lights on/off" against it on the setup screen. The "on/off" part is necessary with all lights generally. Fishmanoz
Directional lighting is a standard function on DCC loco decoders and is F0. Also, it is better to think of your controller being RM rather then eLink which just an interface generating the DCC signal according to instructions from RM. So as pointed out by Graskie, all you need to do is make F0 an on/off function so that you can switch your lights on and off and they will be directional. You could call them carrots on/off if you wish and you will find there is a red carrot at the back of your loco and a white one at the front (no matter which direction your loco is going).
