Fishmanoz
Looking at your service sheet at http://www.hornbyguide.com/service_sheet_details.asp?sheetid=58 I'm not quite sure how to do this one as I'm not familiar with how to isolate one side of the motor from its current chassis connection, and that is essential. Someone like SoT will be along soon and will know.
anthony_byrne
I also have R078 and R357 to convert . These are service sheet 119, but they do not show the motor or wiring, can you help? thanks
Fishmanoz
Anthony, magfan's most important point is his last - you must ensure both motor contacts are isolated from the chassis after you remove the wiring to them and before fitting the decoder. If it isn't isolated, your decoder will be destroyed as soon as you put it on the track. For the other 2, the reason there is no motor shown on sheet 119 is that the motor is in the tender. I've only checked the R357 but you will find the loco and tender service sheets at http://www.hornbyguide.com/item_year_details.asp?itemyearid=27And note if you do more searches on this site using the R number, you must put a full stop between the R and the number or the search will fail.
