@HRMS

Having downloaded the latest setup file this morning, I am now unable to send a help request through the system. I get a message:-

"Could not send your request for help at this time.

Please try again shortly:-

Cannot connect 12029"

This is an extract from the log.txt file:-

I've tried a few times over the last two hours or so. Is this a temporary server problem?

Hi St1ngr4y... the railm.dll file is only 28 bytes in size. The error message you get above means the file cannot be opened but it doesn't automatically point to that file being corrupt or whatever. The file trying to open it may have something wrong. It could also be that the file talked about is corrupt.

Now those are only possible scenarios and if I were you I would actually try to reinstall the program over itself. You may need to deactivate it but that won't matter really. At this point though I would simply try and reinstall as the corrupted file will be corrected with the new install. It depends upon how brave you want to be and whether or not you have anything to lose like setup details already programmed in.

Once done you can then try and use the help facility again. I take it that it is only the help part of the program that is causing an issue?

One trick I have up my sleave sometimes when encountering this scenario... download the setup file from powerpos and try expanding it as you would a zip file. If that is possible then simply copy the new railm.dll file and paste over the offending one if it IS that file causing the problem.
