mrtrain man Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 can anyone tel me how much i should be paying for this
The son of Triangman Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Depends on the livery. A bog standard 1970's BR Green one in the famous Ramsay's trade and retail guide book for a mint boxed example says around £25 which equates to £12.50 trade if buying it as a trader. The number you have quoted is a part number from a large part on the model, most probably from the plastic S.5996 chassis bottom plate or the loco body, models from this time period often had the catalouge number of the first issue of the model followed by Rovex factory internal number on the part. so R.156 is the catalouge number of the first issue of the loco and 9300 the internal factory part number. To give a more accurate price, we would need livery and colour of the model and condition. Models without boxes and in less than mint condition will be less. A bog standard green example can be bought from a toy/train fair for example in unboxed tired condition for as little as £8 Retail.
