Where did you get the infp BB?I missed out last year. :-(Hi PolissI was in LIDL this afternoon, and at the exit they had there usual "comics" stating what was due over the next week or so, and one was dated Thursday 18th to Wednesday 24th December (Britney Spears on front cover). Cabinets are on pages 4 and 5.
poliss Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 I'm amazed your post didn't get held for moderation as it contains a couple of swear words. ;-)

Postman Prat Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Hi All I bought a couple of the large cabinets the last time they came out and I can recommend them without any reservations. They are very well made and are great value for money.
rayarpino Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Hi all,Just to second everyone who liked these cabinets. I am not a shareholder but honestly I don't think their prices for these can be matched if one bought all the materials and built them. Not counting labour. I made four myself some years ago, basically four planks, the two side-planks I had to route to fit the glass shelves, and the two top planks were also routed to take the sliding glass panels. Plus the backing panel, wood stain, glue, varnish and time...Was fun though as my first extremely modest attempt at "cabinet-making" (wouldn't have stood a chance as an apprentice at Hepplewhite's), unashamedly copying the assembly method from a rather succesful Swedish flat-pack specialist (where I bought the ironmongery). Getting on now though, bulding the layout slowly as funds permit, detailing and lightly weathering engines and rolling stock. On a morbid note, I wonder how much a varnished teak coffin on scaled-down Gresley bogies would cost. Chimes and whistles from 100 engines playing the funeral march in the glare of the lamps as they wheel me out of the layout room after the wake...But not just yet. The layout isn't finished and neither am I.
mick_moses Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Cheers BB, that's just what I need to display the locos that don't fit on my layout......
Rana Temporia Posted January 1, 2021 Posted January 1, 2021 Does anyone know if they will be available this year?
96RAF Posted January 2, 2021 Posted January 2, 2021 Ring up your Local Lidl & ask them!!! If UK Lidl is anything like Cyprus Lidl the local staff have no more idea about what will actually be on sale than Joe Public does from the leaflets. When I went on the appointed day to buy a particular item and it wasn’t available they said they have no idea what will be for sale, if it comes in they put it out for sale. They could only suggest that if they didn’t have an item that one tried another branch, which is what I did in the end.
Rana Temporia Posted January 3, 2021 Posted January 3, 2021 I asked in store and they couldn't tell me, even if they do them this year they can't guarantee how many or even if they will get some. I have had a look online but nothing there either. I have seen them every time they have had them in the past but only just got some free wall to put some up.
Mike_P Posted January 3, 2021 Posted January 3, 2021 They did not sell quickly in my local store last year so I suspect they have been "rested" for this year at least.
The son of Triangman Posted January 3, 2021 Posted January 3, 2021 Ikea do a nice cabinet for around the same money and it's available all year round.
96RAF Posted January 3, 2021 Posted January 3, 2021 I have two cabinets from a local furniture store (Aldis of Fakenham) but they are so heavy I doubt my dot and dab cardboard walls would support them. Besides I don’t have the hefty hooks required to hang the adjustable brackets on.
