fischi
Hello @all.As I am just starting to get in touch with the digital area, I just wanted to plug in a decoder (R8249) into my R2988 Brighton Belle, which is DCC Ready. But after opening the cover, I saw a 8-pin connector(which is located on the main pcb as shown on the Service Sheet as No. 10) But on the service sheet, there is no plate plugged in. As I have a plug there, it looks like this will be the analoque plug, but is soldered. Therefore, I wondered, if I would have to desolder this plug in order to be able to put in the decoder. This would not be the idea of DCC Ready or am I completely wrong? But then, I opened the complete car, because I was not sure, if the connector plug is just a little bit downstairs. Thanks for any advice. fischi
The blanking plug should prise out allowing you to plug in a decoder.Hi RAF96.Thank you for your reply. It worked now.I just did expect, that it would need to put such pressure on the screwdriver to get the plug out. I really hammered it out, because it was really permanently fixed.
