I've been trying to get Slaters GWR Toplight kits but without success. Is Hornby considering adding these to their range at any time in the medium term?

Hi Taff, are you from Swansea by the way, and are you perhaps doing a bit of Industrial Espionage? Does the word 'Oxford' mean anything to you??* :-)

Seriously though,  at present Hornby hasn't announced any new GWR carriages since the Hawksworths  a couple of years back, and 2015 is Stanier P3 suburban time.

If Hornby's previous release patterns are to be used as a guide, the LMS suburbans will be followed by some Southern super detail suburbans (LSWR eliptical roof bogie non-corridor stock possibly, to match all the ex LSWR locomotives they will have introduced) so GWR suburbans are some way off, at least four years away and different GWR corridor coaches will be well over ten years away.

It is much more likely that one of the newcomers will do the 'Toplights' first.

I may of course be utterly wrong!

* for those not in the know - 'Taff' is the 'nom-de-plume' of the chap who signs the periodic Oxford Diecast newsletter and they who are located in Swansea have just announced they are going into OO railways head to head with Hornby with the Adams Radial.

No, I'm not from Swansea and although I am welsh, the name comes from my house name. Having said that this is not named after the railway running through Cardiff, but apparently is a nautical term.

Outbid again on e-Bay last night, so fingers crossed someone produces an RTR version

Thanks for this, but I have tried. I've e-mailed and rung on a number of occasions without success. Checking out another forum I get the feeling there may be some legal issues going on and I'm not the only one not to have been able to speak to them or get a reponse to find out what is going on.

If I thought it was just a case of waiting a couple of months for them to produce stock I'd be only too happy to wait, but the impression I get, and hence my entry here, is that there are not going to be avalable any time soon. Unless of course anyone knows different.

Still an RTR version would still be good

Hi Taff, have you tried CooperCraft?

Hi Taff, when you type your reply, type it in the White section under the yellow section containing the other persons text then it doesn't all merge together.
