Britannia1
Hi everyone! I am trying to set up a Hornby model railway at school for an after school club. I bought the R1172 (The Majestic) as a basic starter pack and we are having a lot of fun with it. The next step for us is to operate the points remotely. I would like a bit of advice as to how to do this. The set came with E-Link and Hornby Rail Master and I feel that operating the points remotely with it will help to justify using it - otherwise we may as well just be using the more basic controler. Many thanks!!
Graskie
Welcome to the forums. Basically, if you wish to operate your points electrically, you can do it with your eLink, but you would need to look into buying one or more DCC Accessory Decoders plus a motor for each point. Have a look at relevant threads on here and Brian Lambert's great website http://www.brian-lambert.co.uk/
