MikeMJD
Do i use the same track length as in the manual or do i need to ajust things to get the figures to enter into Railmaster.Mike.
Fishmanoz
I think you will also need to multiply by the conversion factor from OO to N. N will run a lesser distance than OO for the same scale speed.
HornbyRailMasterSupport
When providing your own scale speed factor for any scale of loco you need to set up a specific length of track for the scale you are using. These details are already present in RailMaster when you choose the speed profile button within the loco set-up screen. For the scale you are operating at you can select the track loop you want to use from the drop-down list and when you select the track it will tell you which pieces you want e.g. 8 x ST-17 Peco 3rd radius in N scale. Then just run the loco as per instructions and take the timings. You need to ensure you have the correct real-world maximum speed of your chosen loco (you can obtain this from the Internet or there is bound to be a Hornby loco already profiled where you can just copy the max speed). Full details are in the RailMaster PDF guide on your Windows desktop.
