choralc
Please confirm my thinking as annotated to the pic./media/tinymce_upload/764581004beff11ee0bd688036f83573.jpgOkay one 2 should be a three :) and of course all joins insulated with shrink wrap. Decoder stuck to top of chassis block with double side tape or I might place a 'My Loco Sound decoder and speaker into the tender and run the wires into the loco body and join as above. poliss
You mean heatshink tubing and not shrink wrap of course. :-)
choralc
Haha, two number 2s are two and three and heatshrink tubing not shrinkwrap. Now have I confused the wiring as much as my text? :)
choralc
On the off-chance that this chassis and motor combination on this loco was similar to another loco on the Hornby Decoder Installation Guides page I found that the R2675 RailRoad Flying Scotsman Decoder Installation fits the bill and will convert it shortly minus the capacitor. No bad word. Will fit it soon minus the capacitor.
choralc
First chip I used was a second hand one that I had resoldered wires to but no go. I trimmed a new chip and put that in. I think I lost a spacer and when I replaced the speedo and tightened it up the cable broke, sigh. Was pleased with its running though and decided to do R2270 'City of Edinburgh 6241' from 02-04 which was similar.
