Jakeeey
Im trying to replace a few parts, mainly the axle set of my awful flying Scotsman. I believe it came with a set, but it was given to me by someone. After searching for the product, I cannot find a specific service sheet for the locamotive which is tender driven, as there has been many models of the locamotive created. If someone could assist me to find the Rxxx number or know which one I may have then that wouldnbe great. The onlay number I can find is an L number on the rear of the engine. Thanks. 2e0dtoeric
Wouldn't ALL Scotties have the same running number,Polis? Or are you thinking it might be decorated as one of the earlier ones, pre BR?
Bulleidboy
Try looking at "Hornby Railways Collector Guide" - I don't know if it will help? It would also help to know what colour it is. It looks asthough Hornby first produced FS in 1968 - so there are a lot of locos to check - anything that will eliminate some would help.
