Smithy58
good dayi have an Dapol n gauge class 66 diesel which seemed to oddly run very very slow at full power without any load. I have looked at the manual and checked out the speed factor section just as a hunch. So I timed it to travel approx 1.8m at 18 s thereabouts. I entered this (18) into the speed factor box and whoosh of it went, I just feel it is a bit too fast now, my question is what would have been the default setting before I would have changed it?regardsColin Dell PC laptop, elink, Railmaster Narrow gauge layout. HornbyRailMasterSupport
Have you ensured that N scale has been selected for your RailMaster setup? Also, did you set up the recommended length of N scale track in a loop and run the timings from that, allowing your loco to warm up and measuring it at constant full spedd (no acceleration/deceleration included)? Also, did you ensure you created a new loco and did not select a Hornby loco from the built-in list? Doing the latter would apply the wrong scale speed profile for your N scale non-Hornby loco.
