The Spoggles Dad
/media/tinymce_upload/ac91756b50bb0ed98f5e040be02a61c3.jpgHi,As previously stated I bought some 2nd hand cars, they are single seater F1 types, the guide blades come out, if a car spins on the track the blade goes off at an angle and doesn't self centre. Having looked at the online shop I see there are short and long guide blades, I take it this refers to the length of the bit that fits into the car? I see that the short one (C8145) come with a spring, is that to self centre the blade?the long blades (C8071) come with brass ferrules, which don't seem to be fitted to my cars, albeit they may be needed but not present. Both cars are the same style but just painted differently. L7694 is embossed on the chassis insideThe 'prong' that fits into the car is 1cm longcan anyone help me, whether they are short or long guide blades. I've looked through the service sheets and can't see these cars listed.hopefully the photos are some help/media/tinymce_upload/a49c449bf41769c6a2433533d8660298.jpg/media/tinymce_upload/c2a9f13d96f13f7a03306ec4dd0fe50e.jpg
Andy P.
have you had a chance to scan the service sheets to see if it is in there?https://www.scalextric.com/uk-en/downloads/scalextric-service-sheets
The Spoggles Dad
Andy, yes I look though last night Before posting. The number on the car doesn't seem to match anything on the service sheets. Although other F1 style cars seem to use short guide blades. just can't seem to find a definitive answer anywhere, was hoping either you or Admin might know!
