Howbi
A ribbon roll of 300 LEDs that can be cut into min 3 led pieces is very useful, self-adhesive backing, and will run on any voltage from 6 to 12 depending on level of brightness you require. Such as these.....http://www.amazon.co.uk/Lampux-Flexible-Lights-Non-waterproof-Strips/dp/B00HSF64JG/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1439054681&sr=8-4&keywords=led+stripHB. MetmanUK
I got a continuous roll of LEDs - much better than cutting into small strips as soldering leads to them is a nightmare ! Depending on the shape and size of your baseboard it is sometimes preferable to run 2 or 3 strips rather than a single long strip. Make sure you purchase a more than adequate transformer/driver. westernwill
John I have a lower level linked to my upper level by a helix, this gives me a nice long run.I used LED strips to provide light. Very simple to install and very effective lighting and being LED low power consumption. Mine came with the appropriate transformer plugs so I didn't have to think about it. I bought packs of multiple strips, about 3ft long) that can be connected together by tiny connectors. More expensive than the long strips but suited my purpose best. The only problem was lying on my back to fix them in place, well not the lying down so much as the getting back up ||||
