Problems with Elite Programming

I have just purchase the city of coventry it is set to default address 003 using the elite i reset tge address to 0010 fine every goes through red light flashes etc

then when i select loco it will not move or the sound function will not work  this will happen for any address 

but when i get back to default address 003 press loco and it works and the sound functions but instead of displaying the address it displays C37 696 why 

what is the problem it only affects this loco in this way

Clearly you have failed to reprogram the loco.  Suggest you try again with only the programming track connected, not the layout and try a little pressure onto the loco as you try.

And clean the track, the wheels, and the pick-ups. It only needs a trace of muck to corrupt the programming data.

Perhaps admin will move this to the DCC threads and change the title to Decoder - not decorded!?

Also check the wiring to the programming track for a firm grip and that they are not loose. Some changes may be made but not completed if the wiring is making a circuit but is breaking that circuit infrequently... i.e. loose connection.
