A lot of members of this forum (LC&DR in particular) will be pleased to learn that 35006 Peninsular & Oriental has, in the last few days, moved under it's own power for the first time since 1964. After withdrawal it went to Barry and, after removal in 1983, it went to the Gloucester & Warwickshire Railway at Toddington

Further information can be found on the Gloucester & Warwickshire website

Funnily enough, I'm sure Hornby won't mind if I say I've got a free ticket for myself from the blue box company's collectors club to attend a special day at that railway on Saturday 5th September. As a matter of interest, anyone else going? I look forward to seeing that loco.

Glad I'm going in a totally different direction then, PP.

Really, don't enjoy yourself too much, will you? We can perhaps swap a few pics, though, afterwards, if yours are any good.......

From one end to the other !!!!

Seriously, they are steadily heading for Broadway. As far as I know it's just a matter of a couple of bridges and a few miles of track. That's all!!!!! You don't see a lot of 'high profile' items in the press etc but they're quietly 'beavering away' It's a nice railway.
