508
I would like to see Class 507 and 508 to be considered by Hornby as future models the 507s where bought by Merseyrail in 1977 to work liverpool northern line services 33 units were delivered then in 1982 class 508 where trsnsfered from the southern Region to work the Wirral line services 43 of this class was received and both classes have been liveried 3 times firstly they sported the livery of the 1970 onwards then silver livery with yellow sliding doors in 2010 to mark transport deregulation and finally some re- liveried by department of education to encourage students to use public transport more often the colour selected was all yellow
LCDR
A good choice. But don't forget that the 313, 314 and 315 units were built to a similar design, and these would make the model much more versatile. It would also allow a much greater range of liveries to be applied. The motor cars would be identical, the trailers would need a pantograph version, but this could be accomodated with clever tooling. This would allow 'modern image' enthusiasts from Scotland, London, and Merseyside to have a representative inner suburban EMU.
