JJ73
This to respect LC&DR b/c they were saying "All these pictures from books are nice to see, and I hope we can continue to see them, but when I started this thread I intended this thread to show pictures that we had taken ourselves, hence the title "Where was I when I took this picture". Could we continue to put only our own railway pictures on this one, and if necessary start a different thread for grabbed pictures we think the rest of us might like to see, please?"So this is that "different thread" - so if you have a photo that some 1 else took - post them here instead pls :)

dynax
copyright will usually be enforced if used for monetary gain, as a reference there should be no issues, but as a precaution ask permission where possible, but if in doubt do not post,Mike. Postman Prat
Hi Jimy The second photo is near Great Rocks - the loco is a Hughes/Fowler 'Crab' The first photo the loco is a Stanier Jubilee - can't read the number to identify it.The signalbox places it on the former Midland Railway system but I don't really know. As your previous photos are near Great Rocks I'll say .............Great Rocks?
