133 Squadron
On30: Modelling narrow gauge railways in O gauge on OO/HO track.Would you like to see Hornby produce products in this scale? Do you think that they can profit from a venture like this?

Howbi
Hi, 133, I think the customer base for 0n30 would be far too small for a major manufacturer like Hornby. In the USA, Bachmann and others have a large established market for 0n30. Their models can of course be purchased here but are not British outline. 0n30 is attractive to the diy modeller and a good subject for 3D printing nowadays. There are some RTR and kits available in 0-16.5 from British suppliers.HB.
LCDR
On30 is 2 foot 6 inch (ish), gauge at 7mm scale, but gets used for anything from 2 foot to 3 foot gauge. Hornby (Tri-Ang) did once propose a model of a Snowdon Mountain Railway loco and coach in this scale but it never got into production. I am not sure if they proposed to add rack adhesion too!Personally I'd rather they went for OO9.
