PJ_model_trains
Hornby Brighton Belle Pullman Trailers R4527/28/29 Am I right in assuming when used on a DCC track the lights in the carriages are on all the time? https://www.hornby.com/uk-en/shop/last-chance-to-buy.html?p=

PJ_model_trains
I was pretty sure I was but just thought I would pass it by the team. Many thanks. Still not got my layout back down but family now gone back home. Electric bed coming next Wednesday so after that I can get sorted again. I still have a TTS diesel in the box not even run or tested!!! Look forward to playing again ;o) By the way Fishy, have you missed the storms/floods (South Sydney I think the news said)

Fishmanoz
Missed the really bad stuff PJ, I'm inner west not South. Certainly had some pretty heavy rain and a bit of hail, but no flooding. Thanks for asking.
PJ_model_trains
Hi Fishy It's a small world but with a lot of water. Seems the whole world is getting a shaking with what is coming from the sky and the seas/oceans. Regarding lights on all the time in carriages with DCC as mentioned yesterday, I appreciate a siding can be isolated to get round the always on situation. Hilux59721707820819
Unfortunately the Brighton Belle is wired up differently to the normal Pullman coaches. Only the driving motor brake cars have power pickups. The trailer cars get the power through the electric couplings. They are controlled via the decoder so if the unit is not dcc fitted the lights don't work on a dcc layout.
LCDR
Yes, the Brighton Belle Pullman trailers are only intended to run between the power cars.
