pendeenpete
Good morning,I know some of you have fitted lights to the above,my question is,did you solder the wires to the underneath of the dcc socket? The decoder wires on the express models lighting board are extremely short, did you fit the board to the chassis or the body? Thanks Pete
96RAF
I soldered the EM board wires to a small socket and glued it to the roof of the loco With a double sided pad.wires were soldered to the 4 inner pins of the decoder socket and attached to a matching plug, thus allowing me to remove the body and unplug it for convenience.i have on another model just extended the EM wires and soldered them to the decoder socket As I didn't have another plug/socket to hand. pendeenpete
Thanks RAF, as an aside,my long term brake release sticking is still with me despite Hornby putting another chip in,however if I use any function it moves off, even using thrash,so hoping the lights will do a similiar job.My Gadwall continues to work fine without any jiggery pokery. Thanks again Pete
