1/72 WWII RAF, USAAF & GERMAN BOMB/WEAPONS SETS

Noting many WWII bomber kits (and fighter bombers for that matter), from various manufacturers have little or no stores variety to hang in the bomb bays or under the wings, I would like to see Airfix produce dedicated:

1. RAF/FAA WWII Weapons Set - 250lb, 500lb, 1,000lb bomb varieties, torpedoes, depth charges and rockets (all in multiples)

2. USAAF/USN WWII Weapons Set 250lb, 500lb, 1,000lb bomb varieties, torpedoes, depth charges and rockets (all in multiples)

3. Luftwaffe WWII Weapons Set - SC50, SC250, SC500 and cluster varieties + torpedoes (all in multiples)

I realise Airfix provide a selection in their bomber resupply RAF & recently announced USAAF bomber resupply kits - however, it is prohibitively expensive to bomb up say a new tool Lanc with 18 x 500lb bombs, you need to buy 3 kits at 15 quid each! Also a dedicated weapons set allows some more stores varieties which are not readily available at present.

I have found the Hasegawa 1/72 modern weapons sets very usefull and would suggest Airfix produce something similar but for the WWII/Korean War periods. There are resin aftermarket sets but they are notoriously fragile and fiddly to deal with not to mention expensive for the few items they provide...

Keep up the good work AIRFIX

I would agree with this - I was disappointed to see the beautiful new Lanc was totally lacking in payload (though this one was acquired for the wings only for a York conversion). The resupply set is only of use if you intend to make a diorama - if flying it on the ceiling on a bomb run the vehicles are not needed.

Most fighter/Ground attack kits have stores so why not the bombers?
