We are trying to figure out how the stationary engine at Brusselton worked on the Stockton and Darlington Railway.

The images show the stationary engine and engine house right at the top of the hill.

How did they get chaldrons over the top to the other side?   This is the mystery, according to the Brusselton Incline Group.

May be by Horse / Man Power with a lot of rope perhaps on simple tracks??? Or may be they took the chaldrons up in section & built it at the top??? Just my guessing - Got a Time Machine by any chance???🤔🚂
