My latest acquisition is the 1/48 Airfix Spitfire mk 22/24. I`ve also bought photo-etched parts from Eduard for this aircraft, some resin parts from Barracuda Studios and Quickboost and a vacu canopy from Squadron. I love Griffon engined Spitfires (well, Merlin engined Spitfires too). I'd like to build it as a present for my brother.

I started to build models in the eighties when I was 10 or 11 years old and I enjoyed it a lot (I'm still a modeller). The other day I bought a plastic model aircraft for my nephew (he's 12 years old now) to try to get him off mobile phone and computer games.

My latest acquisitions were the Airfix Mustang mk IV / p51k in 1/48 scale and the Phantom FGR 2. I think they both are great kits.

My latest Airfix acquisitions are the Bristol Beaufighter and the Grumman Wildcat in 1/72 scale.

I've built quite a few Airfix aircraft kits and I think that in general they're very good and very reasonably priced . My last Airfix kit is a Supermarine Spitfire MK 1 and I think it's a very fine model. I also love the Grumman Wildcat in 1/72 scale which is a little gem . I always paint my models with a brush. I believe that if you're careful using a brush the results can be quite good. I don't always weather my models. I believe too that the main thing is enjoying the hobby.

I went to my local model shop a few days ago and bought the new 1/48 Hawker Sea Fury. I think it's a great model and a gorgeous aircraft. I've ordered to my local model shop too an Airfix 1/48 Hawker Hurricane mk 1 Tropical and a AFV Club 1/35 M 35 A2 Cargo Truck.

A Mirage III, a Mirage 2000 and a Dassault Rafale in 1/72 would be great too. I love French aircraft. The Rafale is one of my favorite modern aircrafts.

Yes Paul, I agree with you. I think they should include maybe a UH 60, an Apache, a Kamov, a Wessex UH5 and a few other models.

The Phantom is one of my favourite aircrafts and the Airfix model looks very nice. I like the new Mitchell and the Hawker Sea Fury too in fact I've ordered the Sea Fury 1/48 to my local model shop. They told me that they'd receive this new model at the end of January or maybe February. Anyway, here in Spain Airfix is a popular brand among modellers. At my local shop they've quite a lot of Airfix models.
