Hornby are also releasing a new model of the APT later this year. There are two train packs: a 5 car pack with plain yellow ends and a 7 car pack with the later black window surround and logos.

Play on words InterCity. I said "I" paid a tenner, my daughter gave me a £15 book token for Christmas. 😆

Mine is on its way from Foyles. I paid a tenner for it.
How did you manage to get it for £10 Walkingthedog? It was £25 at Foyles when I looked a couple of weeks ago.

I have posted the pictures of the two set formations from the Hornby website but they need to be moderated so have not appeared as yet.

Hornby have added details of which cars come in the 5 car and 7 car sets to their website together with which additional coach packs you need to buy to complete a full 14 car set for either version.

Thanks for the welcome GNR-Gordon-4.
The Hornby website lists the new Class 91s as being available "Winter 2020-2021" so there's no rush.

All the NDMs will be powered. The 5-car APT pack has full yellow ends. The 7-car APT pack has the yellow end with the black window surround/mask.
Oh, that's a bit disappointing from my perspective. I had hoped to get a matching pair (with the black window surrounds, as that's how I remember them from when I was a boy).
I do still have my original 1980s Hornby set (with the black window surrounds) but I am guessing the new models will look much better, given the detail modern Hornby models have, and they obviously have the greater variety of coaches available.

I am hoping these are already planned, given the announcement of the re-tooled Class 91s in the 2020 range, but it would be good to get confirmation 😀 Suspect we'll have to wait until 2021 though...
Personally I would be interested in the InterCity swallow livery but I am sure others would want them in GNER/LNER etc.
