  1. If you scroll a bit further down the Wikipedia page Chrissaf linked to there is a section on Mark 3 coaches:

No HST carriages are designated TSO. They are classified as TS Trailer Second, reflecting the HST's initial DMU status.

The loco-hauled Mark 3 carriages (officially designated as Mark 3A or 3B) include vehicles classified as TSOs. They are referred to as Open Standard, the original meaning of TSO having become obsolete as no Mark 3 SO vehicles were constructed. Mark 3A TSO vehicles are numbered in the 12000-12172 range

  2. All the NDMs will be powered. The 5-car APT pack has full yellow ends. The 7-car APT pack has the yellow end with the black window surround/mask.

Oh, that's a bit disappointing from my perspective. I had hoped to get a matching pair (with the black window surrounds, as that's how I remember them from when I was a boy).

I do still have my original 1980s Hornby set (with the black window surrounds) but I am guessing the new models will look much better, given the detail modern Hornby models have, and they obviously have the greater variety of coaches available.

  3. I am hoping these are already planned, given the announcement of the re-tooled Class 91s in the 2020 range, but it would be good to get confirmation  😀 Suspect we'll have to wait until 2021 though...

Personally I would be interested in the InterCity swallow livery but I am sure others would want them in GNER/LNER etc.
