alastair hewitt
How about reintroducing the H0/00 range of kits?
DavidJC
I don't know what, if any, remains with Airfix, but I do know that many of the old kit moulds are owned by Dapol now and are still in production. I am by no means certain but I believe Dapol could also have some of the older Rosebud range which were critically acclaimed at the time.
Dad Paul B
I built some of the loco models back in the 70s and would love to bring another 30 odd years of experience to these subjects. Evening Star was a beauty but a morass of connecting rods and I loved the 'Battle of Britain' class Southern Region A4. Britan produced some iconic locomotives. However I am not sure they would be commercially viable as model railways are well covered by other manufactures. Still, being part of Hornby would allow access to railway expertise to move a project like this along.
DavidJC
and I loved the 'Battle of Britain' class Southern Region A4. I take it you mean that as a comparison/equivalent to the LNER's A4 class? The A4 and BoB classes of locos were very different :-)
