Rivarossi 2502

Hello,

I have come in possession of the attached train car (2502) that has never been taken out of the box.  I am not into model trains so I have little interest in keeping it.  I'd rather see it go to someone who would get enjoyment out of it.

If I were to list it for sale, what do you think a fair price would be.  After searching online... I've seen prices for similar pieces that were all over the board.  I also came up empty when searching these forums.

I appreciate any guidance in advance!

The value of this coach is only what people are prepared to pay for it.  Some people ask very high (and over-optimistic) prices for models that have never been out of the box so you will see some high prices on auction sites, but they may well sit on the auction site for months or possibly longer.  Sometimes, very similar looking items can sell for very different prices because one happens to be commonplace and the other very rare.

If you list it as an auction online rather than fixed price, with a moderate starting price (e.g. £10), and it doesn't sell, then you know you will have to lower the starting price.  If the price your asking is a bargain, then there is a good chance of two or more people bidding for it, and you should get what it is worth.
