New Industrial Diesel Loco

I was searching the Book “Diesel Shunters” by Hugh Llewelyn and one of the locos stood out as a possible prototype for a cheap model that could justifiably use the 0-4-0 chassis. The loco was made by Thomas Hill and appears to have a much longer wheelbase than most 0-4-0 diesel shunters and pretty close to that of the standard cheap chassis. It is outside framed so the coupling rods etc could be hidden. There were lots of versions of this loco produced and rather than the non-prototypical Barclay diesel shunter which is based on an ex-Thomas model it could be used by those wanting something that’s a bit more realistic
