I like to choose something a little different. For example the camouflage uniforms were used after D-Day but were quickly discarded because we thought they were SS uniforms and they suffered from friendly fire.

I have a few reference books about uniforms, so I look for similarities to change their appearance. One that springs immediately to mind is the 1/76 Luftwaffe Personnel, who make very good German AFV crew.
