Dominic Thomas
Randall,Impressive models, well done.I like to learn from these posts where there is something I am not aware of. For the second Hurricane above [coded K], I would have thought that the fuselage roundels and fin flashes were the wrong type, considering that these were introduced from July 1942 and Operation Pedestal was in early August. It might have been too soon for them to appear in the Mediterranean. It’s not unknown for me to be wrong, so I would be grateful if you could provide the reference for the markings. Hi Dominic, The source of the lettering is the kit decals for the ARMA models sea Hurricane. Both types of fin flashes and roundels are included. There are five decal options with the kit. SD45elect2000
Here are two operation Pedastal planes, one Airfix and one ARMA. Decals are from DP Casper.AIrfix operation Torch. The Hurricane has the later fin flashes and such. Five sources say this is correct, I cannot explain the anomaly.Randall

SD45elect2000
Just got two of these.I am debating doing these two right off or I could stick with the operation Pedastal Axis aircraft. Randall
SD45elect2000
This is a Torch aircraft, not a lot to see with the wings folded. Randall

Dominic Thomas
Very good selection. I really liked the Martlet with the wings folded. Unusual and a great space saving idea. Real aircraft should have these 😆Which manufacturer produced the Martlet/Wildcat, and was the wing fold an OOB option?
SD45elect2000
Thank you Dominic! The 1/72 Martlets are Airfix and came with two sets of wings, one folded and one notThe Martlet is a sweet kit and good results are possible. Its tempting to build the other 20 USN group I have, love the kits !Randall
