Ratch
I'd like Airfix to make a WW2 era fire / crash tender in 1/72. The old emergency set is post WW2, so a Crossley or WOT or Weeton Type would be great for that era. There are many to choose from. If they wanted to issue a new Emergency set they could use the Willys Jeep. It was used from 1943 and carried 4 foam, 1 CTC, and 2 CO2 extinguishers. It also had asbestos blankets, a short ladder, various hand tools, a first aid kit and a search light. It was used as a fast response vehicle. Pretty Mediocre Modeller
Yes, I would definitely buy that, in fact any 1/72 (not 1/76) airfield support vehicles (or buildings) from any country from eras WWII to present day.
Ratch
Oh yes, 1/72 to match the aircraft. I think Airfix have got that message. Their new tools have been in that scale.
