History:

As Britain prepared for war in the late 1930s, the military weren't just desperately in need of vast numbers of aircraft, tanks and guns, they also needed many thousands of trucks and general utility vehicles to support all kinds of operations.

The ability to effectively supply modern, mechanized armies with the huge amounts of fuel, ammunition, food and other commodities they would need was crucial to the success of any military campaign and as the speed of war increased, so these supply lines began to lengthen. Rugged, reliable and adaptable, these trucks would have a vital role to play in the coming conflict.

In-Box Review:

Description of the kit: This is a new tool 1/35 scale kit. Dimensions are 156 mm x 66 mm. Parts count is 133. Skill Level is 3. 3 Flying Hours printed on the box. Moulded on three runners plus an additional part and with two photo-etched parts. Detail quality is exquisite, finely moulded, and crisp. The light tan plastic and layout of the parts leads me to believe the kit has been made by Academy under Airfix direction. The country of manufacture is Korea.

and the bonnet moulding.

Instructions are printed in a 16-page, A4 booklet. The stages are illustrated differently from the aircraft in that previous sub-assemblies are not coloured red, but some parts are shaded grey, and some location points are red.

As usual, Airfix provides reference images for paint colours and decal placements.

Decal quality looks good, I suspect they are produced by Academy.
