BrakeCoach Posted April 27 Share Posted April 27 I was wondering if the Avanti West Coast pendolino train packs can be extended to 11 cars. The specific one I am looking at is the pride livery wrapped 390. The train pack is 4 cars, and there are five extra coaches from R40196 to R40200, which makes a 9-car set, leaving a MS and a TSO. I wonder if we are supposed to get duplicates to complete the 11 cars, or if its not possible with this specific livery, as each coach seem to have different vinyls and is arranged in a specific way. atom3624 Posted April 28 Share Posted April 28 When I have mine out, I routinely haul 10 or 11 which she does with ease. Main issues are to ensure the traction tyres are in good condition, and to add weight - ~150g - to the power car - there's plenty of room. Al. That is what I am concerned about, since the produced one is only 9 cars, even though the prototype (the vinyled one) is a 390/1 and therefore 11 cars.
