1/48th Scale Bedford MWD

A fantastic little kit - I've got 3!

First, built from the box as the "Early" Army truck:

The second will be finished as a Western Desert example, painting already started:

The third one will be the "late" RAF version from the kit.

Pointers - Parts fit is very precise so take the time to clean all the sprue attachements carefully, particularly the ones on the front mudguards and the front radiator bar:

Fill in these ejection pin marks if you're planning to leave the bonnet open:

If you are using the closed bonnet and the early-style firewall, sand down the bit indicated a little so the bonnet sits correctly. I think this is a small plinth intended to seat the strut for the open bonnet option but it sits a little high:

You can probably tell how much I like this little model - all 3 1/2 inches of it!

Finished. Straight from the box with the kit supplied markings.

Painted with Revell and Humbrol acrylics, weathered with well diluted Humbrol 237 Light Stone. " coats of Matcote to finish.

It's a first rate little kit.
