DavidJC
I made the 1/48 Sea Vixen a short while ago. Not being able to obtain (at that time) Humbrol acryclics, I used my long-time favourite, Tamiya. Decalfix, for me at least, was more easily obtained than other makes. My model shop, though very well stocked, does not stock Humbrol acrylcs. Not having used Decalfix before, I tried it with Tamiya paints before committing to the actual model. Take care! Decalfix I found settled transfers beautifully but was also effective in taking off the the Tamiya paint. After experimentation Decalfix only appeared to affect certain colours which I found odd. So yes it fixes transfers (decals if you must!) beautifully but if you are using Tamiya acrylics, take care. I can't comment on the interaction with Humbrol acrylics as I'm not currently a user of them (although I will be now I do now have some), but I hope they won't be affected at all.
