Hi fellas! No internet for a few days, but back on now. So I can get my thread started...

this is is what I'll be building.

All looks in order, no flash anywhere. Although the lower wing looks a little warped, hopefully no too bad.

made a start on the cockpit.

And here it is on the lower wing. Nice detail, shame it won't be seen!

canopy to mask next and we're ready for some paint! I have noticed that the leading edge of the tail is off centre to the left. Is this normal for hurricanes?

I am in the process of building the 1/48 Hurricane myself. The wing lamps (where the notches are as you can see) looked dull and flat with simple silver paint as suggested. Whether it's correct I don't know, but with some PVA and some shiny tinfoil I burnished it into the lamps then trimmed it to the circular lamp shape. With the clear covers on, it actually looks effective.

That looks good 😀

I'm currently building one of these, a very nice kit indeed. I did struggle a little to get a goot fit between the fuselage and wings and trimming a very small amount from the forward edge of the little step of the lower fuselage, that fits behind the upper wing piece, made for a much better fit. I do think that it was down to me though. However I still have a slight step where the front edge of the wing meets the lower front fuselage. I had to cut away the dropped down portion of the forward bulkhead to relieve the "springing that I had at the front, again down to me. It is all looking very good though.

For the landing lights I simply painted the rear of them in chrome silver, except the locating pin which then ends up looking like a bulb . I lost one of them and ended up scratch building it.

I intend to finish mine as a Finish machine (an Aircraft from Finland 😉 ) I will be paintin on the markings  😆
