Diesel Mad
Hi all, had my stock away for a while as been busy ballasting and working with my real job, noticed that some of the DCC chips loose some of their memory when stored for prolonged periods, not normally a problem, just stick them on the re-programming track and reset the chip. But I've come up with a problem which for the life of me I cannot fix. I've re-set the cv 8 to 08 to reset the chip, but the speed steps won't factory reset, it's installed in a older Lima 47 but the loco runs fine, it just won't start at speed step 8 as I want... Any tips
poliss
Resetting a decoder by entering 8 into CV8 loads factory defaults. It does not make a loco start at speed step 8. The factory default for Hornby decoders is 128 speed steps. To change the start speed you need to alter CV2 and also adjust CV5 and CV6 to match. See the Loys Toys CV guide. http://www.loystoys.com/info/configuration-variables.html">http://www.loystoys.com/info/configuration-variables.html-----------------------------Get off the line Bobby.
