Ozwarrior Posted November 7, 2011 Share Posted November 7, 2011 Hi.I've read on these pages that a loco that is DCC ready should be run in first before fitting the chip.If the chip is already fitted then I imagine it should be run in as DCC. Gregd99 Posted November 8, 2011 Share Posted November 8, 2011 you should run in all locos.I hadn't read the "run in on dc first" comment but it does make sense to sort out any running issues with the loco before you take to it with a screwdriver!Just run in the dcc loco as dcc. please don't try an pull out the chip to run-in as dc!! It is worth taking the time to run new locos in and it does make a difference.
