Pullman Car Lights

Evening All, i am a first time poster, who has recently bought an East Coast Pullman set, and now have a question, should the table lights in the Pullman cars, light up when the train is running, or do i need to do something with the DCC control....? cheers

The lights will be on all the time the carriage is sitting on DCC powered rails.
As sold there is no means of turning them off unless you stable them on a non DCC powered section of track.
You could open each one and fit a cheap decoder or

a lighting only decoder if there is room for it?

I don't think that set comes with Pullman coaches with working lights. I have the orient express set and these do come with detailed Pullman coaches with working lights.

I think the east coast

set comes with the railroad Pullman coaches which are less detailed.

Hi The_Seagull and welcome to the Forum.
The Lights should not light up in this model, as it comes with the Railroad Range version of the Pullman Cars, you could put lights in them yourself but I don't know how to do this. It might be easyer to get

the ones with lights, these are more exspensive, but look great.

Hi Bocaj...ok, that must be it, i had read somewhere that these pullman cars did light up, but never on mine, as you suggest, they have probably put the cheaper coach into this set, one thing less for me to wirry about....cheers guys.......
