Andy P.
Hi Stewart,There is no difference between digital and analog track. There are only digital-specific track pieces which have a flipper for lane changing. Simply put, if there is no flipper, the peice can be used in either an analog or digital layout. So assuming you have a set that uses the newer Scalextric Sport track you can use any pieces available with your setup. If you have the older "Classic" track with the two "loops" or "spoons" you need the C8222 converter piece.Regarding track length: The powerbase you linked (c8217) allows you to use 2 power banks (wall-warts, plugs, power adapters, what have you) i.e. one for each lane. Do that also to avoid power drop offs. If your track is in extremely good condition and all the tabs sit tightly you should be fine (see info here: https://www.scalextric.com/uk-en/support/track-maintenance )It is also a good idea your cars in in good condition, particularly the braids:https://www.scalextric.com/uk-en/support/car-maintenancehttps://www.scalextric.com/uk-en/five-tuning-tricks
