John Bogie
After I re-installed Railmaster, I now have another issue. When I click on the speech icon, I get a message telling me my computer (running Windows 7) doesn't have the microsoft speech engine installed, or words to that effect. I do have speech installed and working. I have tried re-installing Railmaster and the settings in speech itself are all checked and correct. Any thoughts please ? Fireman_Ian
You have to first install the Microsoft speech engine, get it from here http://www.powerpos.com/railmaster/Speech.zip
John Bogie
You have to first install the Microsoft speech engine, get it from here http://www.powerpos.com/railmaster/Speech.zipThanks Ian, Is that a different MS speech engine from the one that is already installed on my laptop ? And I tried that link http://www.powerpos.com/railmaster/Speech.zip and it is broken. The message that pops up in RailMaster tells me to install it from the CD. There is no MS Speech Engine included on the RailMaster CD. Well not on my copy anyway.
Fireman_Ian
Hi, Microsoft speech SDK 5.1 is different from the standard engine installed on your computer try this link https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=10121
Chrissaf
This link works: ww.rail-master.com/Speech.zip.Review the RM manual from page 53 onwards. Extract from this section reads."RailMaster uses the Microsoft Speech Recognition engine, built into all versions of Windows from XP. The installation within Windows, however, is not complete and additional files must be installed for the RailMaster Voice Control system to work."
