  1. Raf96, Yes finally worked through it, thanks to your very well written wiki instructions. Ian.
  2. Chris, I use JMRI Decoder pro to set up my locos with a Sprog connected to my programming track. Ian.
  3. I have taken the "plunge" and moved over to Rocrail, so pleased with it I have now consigned RM to the bottom drawer. It was fairley complicated to set up at first but now it is all up and running. The software works really well with my Elite, sends commands to my locos and points faultlessly.
  4. Hi Norman, Yes I was gobsmacked when I read that article, I have been using IPA for years and never have a running problem although I do get a lot of black gunk building up. That said I run very heavy old Athearn and Bachmann US diesel locos (all DCC), they weigh a ton and have very good all-wheel pick-ups, they will still run on the dirtiest of rails. I am going to trial non-polar cleaners but it will take some months to get results - watch this space! Ian.
  5. Im busy moving over to Rocrail at the moment, so far have not encountered any problems with interfacing with my Elite, connects up first time every time, even after updates. And Rocrail looks professional, not like a toy designed for kids. Its time Hornby got their act together and got Railmaster working and looking more professional.
  6. Here is one I built up from a flat bed wagon. /media/tinymce_upload/840cfa36e574c12249fdd4d937cd83fe.jpg
  7. Here is a very interesting article from the latest MRH magazine https://model-railroad-hobbyist.com/magazine/mrh2019-05/publishers-musings I dont know how to make the link clickable?
  8. It is very strange that some are having issues with 1.70 and others not. I had more connection issues with 1.69 with very often getting a message that RM had detected that my controller was an elink when I have never had an elink. Since updating to 1.70 this has not happened again and all connects perfectly each time . Leaves me wondering what differences could be causing some PC and RM setups not to work and others to be OK. Work that out and you will hold the solutions to life itself. Ian.
  9. Took the plunge and updated to 1.7 so far so good, everything working as normal.
  10. Mmmm methinks I will wait a while before upgrading to 1.7. Also very disappointed that HH is still a website and not a proper app, thats not good enough Hornby!
  11. A beautiful monster indeed, I have run mine on Hornby second radius curves without problem and will navigate points very slowly. /media/tinymce_upload/02c34f1ee567399c5599e536e6d3a21b.jpg
  12. There is no way I will pay for it again! Once bitten twice .... etc.
  13. Still some incomplete scenery. /media/tinymce_upload/9c34dffde474191eca84b1f4dc5b9ed7.jpg/media/tinymce_upload/fe3430ac28207dd1d1429243aa90ecdf.jpg/media/tinymce_upload/a4844b2e72126b3efa317c4c568e5fa7.jpg/media/tinymce_upload/09be42ea0b3a769ccc969e414c1eaeb9.jpg
