  1. If you are on a Windows computer you can use the Paint program to print off a panoramic photo over multiple sheets, you select print preview and use page setup, the option to set scaling using fit to will break the panorama into multiple pages, the first box is set to the number of pages you want and you can scroll through the pages before you print.
  2. I don't have the pro version and I don't know if this is just recent, but in 1.74 there is a reset loco decoder on the CVs range to read line that appears to work to reset the decoder. It is just to the left of the low cv box.
  3. Not sure if any of the below has been provided before but thought it might help. I have had a similar issue when adding in new Hornby locos into RailMaster with non Hornby decoders. I have seen this issue with various versions of RailMaster, when I added a new loco into the setup locomotives screen, changed the address to a long address, wrote the cv's, exited cv screen, set the loco id to the same as the decoder id and saved the loco, the speed slider would have a top speed of 1 mph. This meant the loco would go flat out or not move. My steps to get around this are as follows, you don't need to read the CV's for this to work. Add the loco into the setup locomotives screen and set the locomotive DCC id as the default 003, save the loco, exit the setup locomotives screen. Check the throttle shows up with the correct scale top speed. Exit RailMaster and restart it. The loco should still show up in the throttle list correctly, open setup locomotives screen and select the new loco, using the drop down list select the new 4 digit address in the locomotive DCC id for the loco, it will warn you to also change the decoder address, save the loco and and click the red x to exit the screen, check the new address now shows on the throttle and that the top speed has not changed. Go back into the setup locomotives screen and then into the locomotive settings screen, select the write 4-digit loco address button and select the same address from the list that you entered in the loco information screen then write the CV's and exit. The above worked for me even when for some reason the CV's would not read correctly. I hope that this may assist someone else in the future with a similar issue. Geoff.
  4. Hi, I noticed that the link to download the RailMaster software at the top of this group is no longer there. Does anyone know if this will remain this way, and if so how do we now manually download the updates that we were previously able to. Thanks. Geoff.
  5. Hi everyone, I got back into this hobby just over 2 years ago afgter having Hornby train sets as a youngster many years ago. When I took a look at the hobby as it is now I realised that I had to go dcc to maximise my enjoyment of the hobby. I decided on the Majestic set to get started again as I had no real space, and it was dcc with computer control. (I am a computer nut as well). After getting it home and setup, it was really amazing to see the computer control using Railmaster, the ability to control multiple locos at the same time with 1 power feed was incredible to me. But since then things have slowly gone downhill. While everything was great initially with Railmaster being very stable after the initial teething troubles, (great assistance from members and the links at the top of the forum), my computer died and I required a new one, (I managed to deregister Railmaster before it finally failed). Since then the connection to the elink was very flakey, since I only had usb 3.0 ports the situation arose whereby it would take sometimes up to an hour faffing around with hardware settings and computer restarts just to get Railmaster to recognise the elink. Now I really like the Railmaster software, it is easy to use and quite intuitive in many respects. It is very uncomplicated compared to many of the other offerings around. Having said all of that I have finally taken the plunge and changed to another system to operate my trains as it is totally stable and works every time, but is much more complicated. Basically what I am asking here is what is Hornby going to do about the issues associated with Railmaster and elink to resolve the usb problems, I would hope that they are looking into this and possibly provide some sort of subsidised exchange program to replace elink units with updated ones that work correctly with usb 3.0 ports, (or even usb-c ports), after all, most new computers now only come with either usb 3.0 ports or ucb-c ports. I would really like the issue to be resolved by Hornby and would be happy to pay for an updated elink and go back to Railmaster, (I have multiple copies for multiple computers), in a heartbeat from what I am using now. Well, rant over, just like to hear what others think about the elink usb issue. Thanks.
