  1. I have used them to couple rakes, with normal kadees at the end of each rake. They operate very well. Not sure I would use them as a default, not enough experience with them yet.
  2. I think Dapol wagons are very good, especially the weathered ones. Drooping couplers can be an issue, replaced all mine with kadees, they go well. I do weight all my wagons with 25 grams of tyre weights, they run better as a result.
  3. I have just purchased the Flying Scotsman with TTS sound. Runs very smoothly, even at very low speeds.
  4. I have the new model, brilliant, great runner, very detailed. Highly recommend.
  5. Agree Ian, together with the adjusting pliers. A bit tricky to get the uncouplers/trip pins at the right height but worth the effort.
  6. Good evening all, I have recently taken the plunge and decided to change to kadee couplers. Could not be happier. No derailments due to the tension lock bars becoming fouled. I just needed to use different length shanks 18-20) depending upon the rolling stock and loco's. Shunting and reversing through points now trouble-free. I have gotten rid of old Hornby stock with fixed wide couplings, as all newer stock, including Railroad coaches, have nem 362 pockets. This has made a significant impact in terms of trouble-free running, and I am slowly working out the intricacies of magnetic uncoupling-often requires some adjustment of trip pins with purpose built pliers. Has anyone had a similar, or opposite experience? Cheers
