I have managed to get all my hornby trains running with railmaster but I am having trouble getting railmaster to read non-hornby decoders. Any suggestions?All help gratefully received! When you say....."I am having trouble getting railmaster to read non-hornby decoders."Do you mean reading the decoder CVs with the loco on the programming track, or do you mean adding a non Hornby loco into RailMaster so that you can control it. 96RAF Posted May 6, 2017 Share Posted May 6, 2017 If an alien decoder is not in the RM database it will throw a flag asking you to supply a pdf of the decoder characteristics. I have found RM can misread known decoders and a retry often sorts it. Regardless you can enter basic parameters manually into RM including the Manuf and Version data into CVs 7 & 8.
