Trickyrichb
Hi all,I've just setup my sons new "mixed freight" train set and all seemed well. After a while I've noticed that the diesel in the set will not reverse. It buzzes slightly like the motor is trying to turn slowly. I'm not sure if it's done this from the start or if my boy has managed to change a setting on the select controller. I've reset the controller as detailed on page 19 of the manual but still no reverse. Any ideas???
stevecamden
I don't think there is any setting on the Select that can upset the loco as such and you have done a reset. Have you inspected the loco? Sounds a bit strange to me, but I would take it back to where you bought it and get them to try it out.Does the other loco in the set reverse ok?Steve

I've looked and the wheels turn freely in both directions so the issue doesn't appear to be mechanical. Very puzzling??
poliss
You should not be able to turn the wheels. It sounds like the motor or gears have come off their mountings. Return it to the shop for refund, repair or replacement.
trainzcal2001
I have the exact same set and encountered that same problem. If the acceleration is laggish and takes time try editing the acelerartion and deacceleration features. Also try removing the body to inspect the inside for broken parts to lack of lubrication. stevecamden
Yes I would set the accel and decel to max just in case you have changed these. But I wouldn't take it to bits ( might not be able to get a replacement!)
