St1ngr4y
Hi - welcome to the Forum. We need to know what type of DCC controller you are using - is it one of the Hornby ones ???? Ray
Chrissaf
OL usually means "Over Load" and indicates that the loco is causing too much current to be drawn from the controller. This is typically a result of a short circuit..I would test the loco back on the 'test track' again and make sure it is still working on that. If you have access to a digital multi-meter. Put the meter on the resistance Ohms setting and measure the resistance across the wheels with the pick-ups on them (one meter probe on the two wheels each side of the axle). Any meter reading close to zero would indicate a short circuit. Any meter reading above about 50 to 100 Ohms should be OK.

96RAF
The Select is the only Hornby controller to show OL on screen. What test track set up do you have nd how does it differ from the main track where the fault is seen.Under what conditions does the fault occur, as soon as the loco is placed on track, at a point or on a curve, only going one way or both, etc.How many locos are you trying to run at once with the Select.Rob
