olly
just fitted a king TTS sound decoder to my R3377 NRM king class King George VI have changed CV 150 to 1 for the motor controlbut it’s still not a very smooth runner and it needs more turns of the controller to start it running . Its like it needs the start voltage turning up . Can’t find the CV in the manual has anyone had this problem? What CVs did you change? the locomotive runs ok on DC and I don’t have any problem with my TTS king Richard
Fishmanoz
Vstart isn’t supported so you have to live with this one. Take a look at CVs 151-154 though. The decoder leaflet describes them.
olly
Had a look at the manual but not sure what CVs 151- 154 actually do. I know there to do with motor control but that's it. The manual doesn't give any suggestions on what values to try Can anyone give me any pointers Thanks Oliver
96RAF
Quite simply it is this 😀. Easier answer is just read the Term P and Term I paras as this is what these other CVs are changing for either algorithm 1 or 2. It is explained in basic terms in the TTS leaflet. Then read the Tuning para in the Wiki which is what you are trying to do with the algorithms and the P & I CVs. Essentially you are altering how the feedback loop for the motor control is set. Note also in the TTS leaflet it mentions that BEMF cut off setting CV10 can affect motor running. Rob
olly
All that’s made my head hurt 😆 I had forgotten about the delay on tts sound locomotives that’s why it was taking more turns on the controller
Fishmanoz
PID QED Rob. Olly, do you mean you kept winding during the delay as you thought you hadn’t got anywhere yet?
