CraigP
hi allthe motor mount has broken on one of my cars. I attempted to superglue it however it has not held and broken again. I recently read the article about car maintenance and saw it suggested gluing the motor in place. My question is what glue to use as the motor will obviously get hot. Cheers
roger_harding
The only thing I resort to if superglue does not work is Gripfill or Gripfix
Andy P.
I use hot glue from a glur gun. You can use alcohol to get it off again.
woodcote
When I want something to stick forever, I use either Shoe Goo or E6000. Both are silicone-based and very robust. The E6000 is a thinner glue that gets into tight spaces like between a motor and the motor mount and is perfect to glue an axle bushings into a chassis. Shoe Goo can be cut with a scalpel to remove, E6000 is more difficult to remove so is a pretty permanent bond.
